Why Give

The impact of each gift to NUS Medicine, whether large or small, is exponential.

Each dollar will directly benefit the people and the projects you support, but beyond that, as our students graduate to become the compassionate, caring doctors who serve Singapore and evolve our health policy, and as our researchers work to find new cures with their discoveries, transforming health and healthcare, your gifts would have paved the way for better health for generations of Singaporeans in the years ahead.

Write your own giving story and be among those who have made a difference to NUS Medicine and Singapore. Read our Giving Stories about these exceptional donors and those whose lives they changed here.

A Dean’s Perspective

As Dean of the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine since 2011, I have been truly inspired by the philanthropy and generosity of donors that have taken the School to where it is today.

It is indeed a privilege to have been part of this journey with our supporters, donors and friends of the School that has taken us to the rank of Asia’s top medical school from 2015, and among the world’s best.

With your help we have been able to deliver on our mission of producing the next generation of compassionate and competent doctors that Singapore needs. Philanthropic support has spurred our teachers, researchers and clinician scientists to strive on, and deliver the discoveries that will fundamentally change the face of medicine and health in Singapore today, whether it involves pioneering new therapies for children stricken with cancer, or unravelling the science behind the degenerative effect of Alzheimer’s disease.

I invite you to continue on this journey with us. Your contributions are integral to our path forward and our aspirations to transform health in Singapore by training top medical talent, driving translational research and drawing top faculty to perpetuate this cycle of excellence.
